TIP Resource Directory

Welcome to the Newly Updated TIP Resource Directory

It's a Whole New Look!

Since its inception in 2017, Thriving in Place has been focused on providing volunteer services to villagers.  Current services include driving members to medical appointments, providing handy helper and tech support, and making friendly check-ins.  However, the TIP Board of Directors has long recognized that being able to remain in our homes and thriving often requires additional help that cannot always be provided by volunteers.

TIP began researching and gathering useful resources in 2019, and Medical Resources were added to the new TIPvillage website. A committee of dedicated volunteers has been working diligently to expand this TIP Resource Directory to also include non-medical paid resources that might be key to enabling TIP villagers to stay in their homes and thrive.

TIP is pleased to present this updated TIP Resource Directory for the use of our Villagers. The TIP Resource Directory is a continual work in progress, and you can expect to see additional resources added in the future. The TIP Resource Directory does not attempt to include ALL resources in any given category but rather gives Villagers a starting point with some reasonable suggestions. As always, the final determination of whether a resource is appropriate for your needs and situation rests solely with you.

The TIP Resource Directory is available only to registered TIP Villagers. If you are already registered with TIP, you need to click on "Member Login" at the top right of this page and log in to see the Directory pages. If you are a resident of Carolina Preserve but are not registered as a TIP Villager yet (or if you are not sure whether you are registered), you can click here to sign up.

If you are not a resident of CP or you do not wish to sign up with TIP, we have one additional resource that might help you.

Additional Resource

Wake County has published a comprehensive resource directory for seniors. It contains over 100 pages of information relating to services and programs available to older and disabled adults in Wake County, North Carolina. While most Carolina Preserve residents live in Chatham County, not Wake, we are still eligible for many of the resources in the directory because we are inside the limits of the Town of Cary. It is your responsibility to determine whether any Wake County resources in the Directory apply to your address in Cary.
