Welcome to Thriving in Place (TIP)
Thriving in Place (TIP) is a 501 (c) (3) charitable corporation that serves residents in Carolina Preserve, an active adult community, in Cary, N.C. We are an organization, whose vision is "neighbors helping neighbors" to stay in their homes and lead happier, healthier, independent lives. We are members of the Village-to-Village Network, a group that has pioneered this model.

TIP serves Carolina Preserve (CP) residents only. If you live in Carolina Preserve and would like to be eligible to receive services and/or volunteer, then consider joining TIP and becoming a "Villager". There is no joining fee and services are free

TIP's New and Improved Resource Directory
Now Open to all CP Residents
Until the End of March

All CP residents will have access to the TIP Resource Directory until the end of March. This is the place to find information about some of the paid service providers that are beyond what TIP volunteers can provide. There you will find resources in over 25 categories, medical and non-medical.

Medical services such as home health care, urgent care centers, physical therapists and non-medical resources such as plumbers, electricians, home/repair renovations and much more are all in this one handy location. If you have not yet joined TIP and would like to have year round access to this resource, select "Villagers" from the top menu and select "Join". It's free to join TIP and all TIP's services are free of charge!

To access the Resource Directory, go to the top menu and select "Villagers">"TIP Resource Directory". You may also access the new Directory by clicking on the button below.

TIP Villagers Enjoy "Villager Only" Benefits as Well as Services
Once you join TIP and become a Villager, you will be able to volunteer and/or request TIP services including rides to medical appointments, assistance with simple household tasks, technology support, friendly check-ins and loans of medical equipment.

However, did you know that as a Villager, you will also have access to our "Villager Only" benefits? This includes our newsletter, resource directory, healthy aging page and our TIP blogs. Our blog contains posts such as "Ask An Expert" where we pose a question to an expert in a certain field. Wouldn't it be helpful to know the answer to a question such as this one, "What are the qualifications of the person who tests my hearing and sells me a hearing aid?" These Villager Only benefits are updated periodically. Consider joining TIP.
